Overview

Camilla was an Italian heroine and warrior, the daughter of the Volscian king Metabus. Dedicated to the goddess Diana as an infant, Camilla grew up in the woods as a virgin huntress and later allied with Turnus in his war against Aeneas. She was killed in battle by an Etruscan fighter named Arruns.[1]
